Third time's a charm?

Goodbye organic soy formula. I suppose it was never meant to be … from our tumultuous meeting in a rare Texas sleet and ice storm … through your inability to soothe and nourish Baby’s belly. You gave it a good try, but it is now time for us to move on.

Doctor says Baby should try a new formula with advanced rice starch. Who even knew such a thing existed? Supposedly it’s thicker, heavier, and great at calming the tendency to spit up every ounce Baby consumes. This will the the THIRD formula we've tried. Husband will be happy if this one actually works. As I’ve mentioned before, he’s a ‘bit’ of a neat freak. Let’s just say he’s not a fan of the spitting up. Not at all. Fortunately, I hear babies eventually grow out of this … just in time to start throwing pureed sweet potatoes at the wall.

In any case, Baby is up to her usual tricks. She likes to keep us on our toes, jumping through hoops, and generally making fools out of ourselves. But, of course, it’s all worth it. I mean, really, look at that face …

  1. Cute, cute cute! Is this the Enfamil A/R? If so we had to use that for Will. It was pretty much all he'd hold down. Will was allergic to soy formula. I rushed home from Maryland to meet Joey at Texas Childrens ER to find out that my poor baby had been throwing up violently for the entire 3 days I was gone. Poor dad picked up the wrong formula. MP has the same reaction to regular formula-she will require soy when the time comes...they do keep us on our toes, don't they:)

  3. Oh! Poor thing! I hope this one works out for her. It's so hard when your little one isn't doing too well, with eating.
