Post-It Note Tuesday!

[Note: Questioning my own bad parenting here, not Husband's ... he was kidding. I was seriously considering just how bad it would be to stuff Baby full of carrots!]

Seriously, these baby food companies have to be making a boat load of cash. In one hour this morning, I made 47 servings (squash and green beans). Total cost to me? Less than $5.00.

  1. Because the organic foods they used to make it cost more.

  2. I'd like to know what they are charging for too when I can make the stuff and know what's in it for a ton cheaper!

  3. i think organic food costs more because it costs more to grow them. land has to be organic, fertilizers have to be organic. but yes, it's cheaper (and makes more sense) of you just make the baby food yourself. at least, you'd know EXACTLY what goes in there...

    happy PINT :)

  4. Stopping in for PINT. You're married, I'm married. Let's leave our husbands and run away together. Yes? You will marry me?

    haha. Supah's funny.

As for your bad parenting, if the full belly is helping baby sleep all night, by all means fill the belly and SLEEP!

  5. Hold up - you are making your own baby food, right? That's what the wife did. Saved us a ton of money. Puree'd the stuff and put it into ice cube trays and froze it.

  6. I always used to feed my babies their dinner right before bed. It really helped.

  7. I'm not a medical professional but if it helps Baby to sleep and it's not hurting her, why is that bad? As for organic food, I don't know why it all costs more but I think it's great that you're making your own baby food!

  8. Good for you making your own baby food. My friend had twins and she did the same thing. Even makes her own peanut butter. I can't sleep when I'm hungry either so if it helps her sleep, feed the kid!

  9. Oh yes, if only we could make it and sell baby food ourselves! We could be making tons and tons of money! And not bad parenting btw! I thought that a few times myself!

  10. Can one overfeed a baby? Wouldn't they just stop eating? I don't know this? I have a 6 and 4 year old. It's not like it was decades ago!!

Hurray for you for making baby food!! That's the best you can do...
