Affordable Christmas Gift for Teachers

Finding the perfect Christmas Gift for your child's teacher can be tough. It can be especially tough when you want to find something meaningful and still stick to a budget. It can be even more difficult when you have two kids who share SIXTEEN teachers between them.

Yes, we need sixteen teacher gifts this Christmas!

How in the world do we find something affordable that says: Thanks for taking care of my kids all day, every day when I can't be there to hold them, feed them, nurture them, or teach them new things?

How do we do this without breaking the bank? It's tough!

I know teachers appreciate gift cards, but y'all know I find them incredibly impersonal. And, even if we went that route, the amount would be so small given how many we would need to purchase.

So, of course, I scoured Pinterest, Etsy, Amazon, and a ton of local shops. Nothing seemed just right. When I did find something that would be perfect, it just didn't make financial sense to buy so many.

The only logical option was to cobble something together myself and hope that they see the love and good intention behind it ... because we all know I am NOT a crafty person.

This is what I came up with: Kisses & Warm Wishes!

I bought the printable from Etsy and included a scarf and chocolate kisses. I was lucky to find scarves in bulk online, so these gifts came out to about $7/each after adding in the paper, printable, ribbon, and candy.

That's as affordable as I could get, still hoping that it has the feel of a higher quality gift.

Be warned, though, if you're making SIXTEEN! of these items .... it will take some time to assemble. Time and supplies like a hole punch and stapler. Who knew I even owned those items?! Maybe I'm getting craftier than I realized.

Do you have affordable ideas for teacher gifts? Please tell us!

  1. HA! We made those felt turkeys at Thanksgiving, and I was certain if we had any more to do, I wouldn't do it at all. I can't imagine putting together 16 of anything.
